Tourisme : la Turquie, destination préférée des vacanciers russes

Les Russes sont de plus en plus nombreux à voyager à l’étranger et privilégient la Turquie et l’Egypte comme destination de vacances, selon une étude publiée mardi.

En 2007, près de 9,3 millions de Russes ont passé leurs vacances à l’étranger, alors que quelque 26,5 millions préféraient profiter des plages de la mer Noire, du lac Baïkal ou de la Carélie, selon l’Agence fédérale russe du Tourisme.

Entre avril et octobre 2007, 2,2 millions de Russes sont partis en Turquie, de loin leur destination préférée à l’étranger, devant l’Egypte (660.000), a indiqué lors d’une conférence de presse Maïa Lomidzé, directrice de l’hebdomadaire russe Tourinfo, à l’origine d’une autre étude consacrée aux préférences touristiques des Russes.

Suivent l’Italie (580.000 touristes russes), l’Espagne (255.400) et la Grèce (211.000), selon Tourinfo qui s’appuie sur les données du ministère russe des Affaires étrangères, des ambassades, de quinze compagnies aériennes et des 80 principales compagnies touristiques russes.

"Les Russes préfèrent traditionnellement la Turquie, toute proche, et qui ne leur demande pas de visa d’entrée", a expliqué Vladimir Kaganer, directeur de la compagnie Tez Tour, spécialisée dans les voyages en Turquie.

"Les hôtels turcs se sont vite adaptés aux goûts de nos compatriotes avec leur amour du +tout inclus+ et des programmes d’animation en russe", a souligné M. Kaganer.

"Depuis 2001, le nombre (de Russes passant leurs vacances à l’étranger, ndlr) est en progression, et en province nous enregistrons une vraie explosion des voyages à l’étranger", a rappelé de son côté Ilia Itkine, directeur de la compagnie touristique Pak Group.

Quatre Russes sur cinq passent par des compagnies touristiques, précise Tourinfo.

The number of tourists visiting the Black Sea city of Bartın is expected to increase thanks to intensified promotional activities.

Bartın, which has a history dating back 3,000 years, is one of the newest provinces of Turkey in the Black Sea region. Attracting the interest of tourists with its river flowing through the city center, historic houses and long beaches, Bartın expects to get a bigger share from tourism with increased promotional activities.

The Culture and Tourism Provincial Directorate, which will participate at the Eastern Mediterranean International Travel and Tourism Exhibition (EMITT) that starts in Istanbul today and will run through Feb. 17, aims to bring more tourists by promoting the hidden havens in the province.

Among the plans of the directorate is to open the Bartın River (Parthenios) to tourism and make the city the �Venice� of Turkey. The river, which is deep and has low flow, will be an attractive spot for tourists. Also, 216 registered buildings reflecting the �art nouveau� and �baroque� style will be promoted during the fair.

Great expectations from EMITT

Bartın is a hidden haven, said Mehmet Altaş, the Culture and Tourism Provincial Directorate's director. He continued, �EMITT, which will host more than 2,500 people from nearly 50 countries is a very important organization to promote Bartın. We will distribute some 3,000 brochures and regional gifts there. Our goal is to increase the number of tourists visiting the city during fairs like this.�

Bulgaria was fifth in a ranking of most preferred summer holiday destinations of German tourists, according to a study by Urlaub Perfekt magazine. The analysis was based on information provided by more than 1200 tourist agents, Dnevnik daily said.

German tourists preferred Bulgaria as a good family holiday destination.
Another factor was that the country offered affordable holiday opportunities. At the same time, however, Bulgaria lagged in providing good service to customers and in quality of hotels.

The research showed that the number of German tourists booking holidays in Bulgaria was growing, Dnevnik daily said.

The ranking was based on votes. Bulgaria won 255 votes, while the number one seaside destination, Spain, got 910 votes. Between Bulgaria and Spain ranked Turkey, Greece and Egypt.

According to Urlaub Perfekt, Bulgaria was a suitable destination for family tourism and as such, it was third after Turkey and Spain. Based on price-quality correlation, Bulgaria's Black Sea resorts were placed second after Turkish resorts. Based on individual tourists criteria Bulgaria was fifth.

Bulgaria was third in the list of destination about which the most complaints were received.
